I recommend a diet rich in raw, natural foods for dogs and cats; it should approximate what they would eat in the wild.
Feed your pets well and they will be healthier and happier.
This table lays out what should, and should not, be included if you’re preparing meals for your dog or cat at home. The first row is the recommended model, and the following rows are specifics for each ingredient.

To Start – Mix 10% meat or meat/veg mix with 90% current diet. Increase to 25/75 when ready, then 50/50, then 100% new diet. This could take 2 days in each phase, or two weeks. Let acceptance and digestion set the pace. | Preparation Tip – Mix meat, veg, and bone meal and put in 1-4 containers for fridge or freezer. Add vitamin just before feeding. | Variety Counts. You can combine any meat with any veggie. The above mixes are just suggestions. Always change the type of meat and the types of veggies at least once a week for good variety. Don’t be afraid to experiment. Be adventurous. |
